Clean Mobility Options Voucher Pilot Program

Eligibility:
Government entities, California Native American Tribes, and non-profit/community-based organizations based in California for at least one year are eligible as Project Lead applicants. The Project Area must be located in eligible Disadvantaged Communities or eligible affordable housing communities and tribal lands in AB 1550 designated low-income communities. Description:
Voucher-based funding for Clean Mobility Projects and Community Transportation Needs Assessments for zero-emission carshare, carpool/vanpool, bikeshare/scooter-share, innovative transit services, and ride-on-demand services in under-served communities.

Bay Area Air Quality Management District

Program:
Vehicle Trip Reduction Grant

Eligibility:
Project must be available to all members of the public. Project must be located within the Air District’s jurisdiction. Project must meet cost-effectiveness threshold. For additional requirements, see Program Guidance.

Description:
Program offers funding to support public agencies on projects that improve air quality and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by reducing vehicle trips and miles traveled in the Air District's jurisdiction. Eligible project categories include first- and last-mile pilot transit services, bicycle racks and lockers, and Class I or IV bikeways.

Gives money from the 1/4 cent sales tax for public transit planning and operations. Areas under 500,000 can use it for road repairs.

Adaptation Planning Grant

Eligibility:
Grants funded in FYs 2017-18, 2018-19, and 2019-20 (program ended) for public entities with authority to conduct transportation planning; universities and non-profits may apply as sub-applicants

Description:
Support planning actions at local and regional levels that advance climate change adaptation efforts on the transportation system, especially efforts that serve the communities most vulnerable to climate change impacts.

Strategic Partnerhsips – Transit Grant

Eligibility:
Grants for rural Regional Transportation Planning Agencies and Metropolitan Planning Organizations; other public entities may apply as sub-applicants

Description:
Funds multimodal planning studies with a focus on transit, in partnership with Caltrans, of regional, interregional and statewide significance, and also assist in achieving the Caltrans Mission and Grant Program Overarching Objectives.
